Gestor (similar to Accountant):

It is recommended you use a Gestor. A Gestor is a licensed administrative expert in Spain. Our English speaking Gestor (pronounced hestor or hestoria) is always at our disposal. We can recommend him and introduce you. (Of course alternatively you can choose independently).

A Gestor will apply for your N.I.E. number, verify or organise applications of licenses, arrange for rental or lease contracts to be prepared and signed and help us to make sure everything is correct and in order before the sale goes through.

After the business has been purchased, employing a Gestor to represent you can save a great deal of time and money. Advising and steering your through the complexities of licensing, administration, book-keeping and taxation in Mallorca.

Abogado: (lawyer/solicitor/attorney)

Our lawyer will help with any legal requirements you have which are not covered by our Gestor.

An Abogado covers the same ground as a Gestor, but deals with criminal law and offers advice concerning legal matters and can represent you in court.

Notary:

A Notary is a public official, rather like a judge, he or she will attain all that matters, such as wills and purchase contracts are officially notarised, registered and given an official stamp.

Your Gestor should be able to recommend a good Notary to you.
